I have begun using apt360 in a production environment. Our company has a good cam program, but we couldn't justify the cost of multiple axis, and apt360 comes in handy for those rare times when you need continuous 4th axis moves. So far apt has been used in just one production program, but more are coming up. I will post pictures if I get some. I am working on a visual tool that uses gtkmm and cairo to help in developing Apt programs.
More work has been done on the postp program. I've added embedded Python as a scripting engine, and the configuration file has grown in features. You will have to use CVS to see these features.
Aptos is about 30% done, roughly, and on hold. Apt360 seems to function well. Since it was used extensively in the 60's, I assume the IBM code is probably relatively bug-free. However, almost every code module required some hand re-work, so there are undoubtably some introduced bugs. Functionally, apt360 is usable, however, postp is still in the early stages of developement. Postp will, however, put out a rudimentary g-code file.
